Our Story: From Passion to Purpose
Essential Services LLC was founded in May 2018 by Carl Bloms and Jesse Lugo, two friends who shared the same goal: to make intellectual and developmental disability support services more thoughtful and consistent. Both had worked as caregivers and saw firsthand what real, meaningful support looks like—and what was missing.
Jesse worked closely with individuals on building daily living skills, while Carl brought experience from his time as a healthcare specialist in the Army. Together, they believed there had to be a better way to support people and the staff who care for them. That’s how Essential Services started—built on respect, reliability, and support that actually fits the person.
