Kourtney Fix joined Essential Services in March, 2023 as a Direct Support Professional and quickly moved into a position as Human Resources Assistant. In September of 2023 she became Human Resources Manager.  She brings 26 years of skill from working in healthcare, school districts, and successfully owning her own business. As a McMinnville native she has enjoyed volunteering in her local community for many years.  Her passion is meeting people where they are while bringing compassion, support, and understanding.

In her role as Human Resources Manager, she is responsible for conducting new hire interviews, maintaining employee records, assisting with worker’s compensation claims, background checks, and filing incident reports. Her goal is to bring support to her admin team, DSPs, and clients.  Kourtney strives each day to live by Essential Service’s moto: “Setting the standard in quality care.”  Kourtney hopes to inspire others to embrace their authentic self, empower them, and bring out the best in them.  She believes kindness goes a long way; you never know what a smile can bring to someone’s day.
